In February 2016, Human Atlas designed, organised, and sponsored a ground-breaking conference on North Korean women and girls. Held in the Houses of Parliament in London, the conference assembled exiled North Koreans and global experts in gender, women’s and girls’ rights, and human rights for a discussion on one of the most overlooked human stories of our time. Garnering international media coverage in print, television, radio, and online, our work projected exiled voices and stories around the globe.
Human Atlas developed a graphic identity for print and produced documentary photography and videography materials for the conference. These elements will be continued into the project’s next life-cycle — the publication and distribution of the conference’s spoken materials.
